Danida Alumni Network News
Dear Danida Alumni,
For those who have not already seen the news on the DAN Facebook or LinkedIn group, we are happy and proud to say that Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus became the very first distinguished Danida alum to receive the newly inaugurated Danida Alumni Prize. The award ceremony was part of Danida Fellowship Centre’s 25th anniversary in Frederiksberg 31 August. Ms Ulla Tørnæs, Danish Minister of Development cooperation presented the award.
Every year around 1000 professionals from the developing and growth and transition countries that Denmark collaborate with are granted a Danida fellowship. We follow and receive frequent updates from many of them when they return to their home countries. Listen to what Emmanuel K. Sanwouk from Ghana says.
I am happy to present to you a short film in the below link. This film is one of my works after successful completion of my MIH course in Denmark.
We are proud to announce that we on 31st August will award Danida Alumni Prize 2017. The prize is awarded annually to an alum who has made significant contributions to positive change in his or her home country or professional field based on his or her studies in Denmark. This year the prize goes to Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General.
Danida Alumni Network-Ghana, together with its stakeholders join Danida Fellowship Centre in an Anniversary reception August 31st in three zones (Accra, Kumasi and Tamale) in Ghana. Find the full programme here.
Congratulations to our three BSU Masters from Ghana, who were chosen among several thousands of applicants to participate in UNLEASH in August in Copenhagen.
The three participants selected are: Mr Eugene Dela Setsoafia, Mr Eugene Jojo Arthur and Mr Godwin Festival Boateng. They are part of a group of 76 Masters from Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Nepal, who have studed in Denmark on a Danida Fellowship as part of the BSU programme.
The clean environment and collective responsibility for ensuring cleanliness by both the individuals and responsible state organs was very awesome.
