Do you wonder what it takes to assemble participants online and organise a successful hackathon?

Join the webinar on 16 December at 16:00pm to 17:00pm CET (Danish time)

Based on the first-hand experience of the organisers of the two day virtual UNLEASH Hacks Bangladesh 2020, this webinar will give you an insight into what is involved.

You will get tips ranging from making an exciting and captivating programme, to marketing and communicating the event and its key messages, setting up the platform that you will work from, selecting your target group and making sure the invitations reach them too.

You will also get to know how important it is to evoke the interest of your stakeholders by including them as panellists, experts or judges, and to get their in-kind support. Facilitation is another area that you will get tips about and there will be ideas on how to make sure that the knowledge gained and solutions developed send out ripples and spread widely beyond the event itself.

About our facilitators

The facilitators of this webinar are Rinita Reswana, a Danida alum & UNLEASH SDG global talent 2019,  Zimran Khan, Rafidur Rob, Jawad Shadman Siddique and Wahid Hossain, the organisers of the UNLEASH Hacks Bangladesh 2020.

Eight teams participated in the Bangladesh hackathon where they presented their innovative solutions to address complex Bangladeshi challenges. The Danish Ambassador Winnie Estrup Petersen, who joined in for the closing ceremony of the Hacks, remarked:

"Ultimately, innovation and entrepreneurship in an emerging market like Bangladesh is critical not only for its economic growth but also for branding the country."
