Celebrating the network of top professional Danida alumni

We are proud to announce that we on 31st August will award Danida Alumni Prize 2017. The prize is awarded annually to an alum who has made significant contributions to positive change in his or her home country or professional field based on his or her studies in Denmark. This year the prize goes to Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General.
We have inaugurated Danida Alumni Prize because we are truly proud of our Danida alumni and we want to celebrate their accomplishments.
Around the world, Danida alumni hold important positions in different capacities. From researchers and teachers to government ministers and CEOs, they drive development across a broad spectrum of sectors. Common for all Danida alumni is their connection to Denmark. They have studied and worked at Danish universities and research institutions and participated in capacity training and learning programmes. Many of them have also stayed at the Danida Fellowship Centre hostel. Through social and cultural activities, they have established close relations and friendship that transcend nationalities and professional boundaries. Danida Fellowship Centre has been a home away from home and part of laying the foundation for their impressive careers and endeavors.
We are happy and impressed by what they achieve; how they manage to drive positive change in a wide spectrum of fields. To us, the Danida Alumni Network and all our amazing alumni represent the results of our work.
The Danida Alumni Prize award ceremony will be part of the celebrative event that marks Danida Fellowship Centre’s 25 anniversary in Frederiksberg.
